Description
La neumonía adquirida en la comunidad (NAC) es un desafío clínico importante, especialmente en pacientes con comorbilidades como la demencia, la cual aumenta el riesgo de mortalidad y hospitalización. A pesar de su relevancia, la demencia no se considera en herramientas de evaluación de severidad de la NAC. Además, la información sobre este tema en Latinoamérica es escasa. Por lo tanto, este estudio busca analizar la supervivencia a 30 días en pacientes con NAC y demencia en Colombia, con el objetivo de identificar el impacto de la demencia en la evolución clínica y reconocer este fenómeno en la región.
