Abstract
This article identifies key traits of radical innovation entrepreneurs in Colombia through a qualitative methodology and a cross-case analysis of eight case studies. Employing an inductive approach guided by a literature review, the study seeks to explain the phenomenon under investigation. Based on this review, several traits were identified: motivational and attitudinal characteristics, communication and social skills, self-confidence, determination, intuition, and experimentation. When contrasted with the case study analysis, five predominant traits emerged: 1) experimentation, 2) intrinsic and contributive motivation, 3) persuasiveness, 4) self-confidence with humility, and 5) determination. This research provides evidence on the prevailing traits of radical innovation entrepreneurs in the Colombian context, offering operational definitions of these traits, and establishing that experimentation is the most frequently observed characteristic among them.
