Abstract
This paper studies the recognition, from the legal, case law, and doctrinal perspective, of cooperation or collaboration as a demand derived from the principle of contractual good faith, both in the Colombian legal system so in the instruments of modern law. It highlights that the use of these concepts has been equivocal, which is why it is pertinent to identify the different meanings attributed to them. Specifically, the article remarks on the advances in the identification of a contractual requirement that implies the contractual creditor to abandon a distant or omissive attitude, who, in contrast, must actively participate in the performance.
