Abstract
Graft-versus-host disease is a common complication after allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Severe ocular involvement may be present, which requires systemic management and multiple interventions by the Ophthalmologist, including pharmacological and surgical approaches. This case highlights the complications through the medical management of a patient with ocular graft-versus-host disease. Despite multiple interventions aiming at visual rehabilitation and preservation that provided short-term benefits, the disease persistence hindered the definitive therapeutic control, which enhances the need to explore future treatment options.
