Descripción
This Event is jointly organized by the Research Project GUMELAB (German translation of the acronym for History Transfer through Entertainment Media in Latin America. Laboratory for Memory and Digital Media Research) funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (Bundeministerium für Bildung und Forschung - BMBF) and The German Historical Institute (GHI) in Washington. Considering that the representation of the past is a sensitive topic that affects different sectors of society, GUMELAB opens the discussion for a multi-level encounter among academics, staff members of the television industry, civil society organizations, state organizations, and the TV audience. The focus lies on the challenges and opportunities of conveying contemporary history in TV series, and on the methods for analyzing the creation, impact, and circulation of these cultural products.| Período | 7 sep. 2023 → 8 sep. 2023 |
