Evaluación Del Desarrollo De Las Funciones Ejecutivas En Niños De 3 A 6 Años

Este estudio tiene como objetivo describir el nivel de desarrollo de las funciones ejecutivas (planeación, organización, categorización, flexibilidad cognitiva, toma de decisiones, razonamiento, inhibición y cognición social) en niños de municipios de Cundinamarca. Para esto se realizará un estudio descriptivo correlacional de corte transversal, cuyos participantes serán niños que participaron previamente en la investigación de "Red Social de Conocimiento Inicio parejo de la vida," 2013, con un rango de edad de 3 a 6 años. Las pruebas neuropsicológicas a aplicar serán sub-pruebas de comprensión, semejanzas, conceptos de dibujos y matrices del WPPSI-IV, la prueba go-no-go, el Stroop, versión para niños (Golden, Freshwater & Golden, 2003) y pruebas de falsa creencia. El análisis estadístico incluirá cálculo de medias y de medianas con sus respectivas desviaciones estándar y rangos intercuartiles. Se calcularán las frecuencias de los factores de interés en términos de proporción para las variables categóricas con sus respectivos intervalos de confianza del 95%. Asimismo, se determinarán las diferencias en el grupo en función de la variable dependiente de las pruebas T de Student para una sola muestra o Wilcoxon según la distribución de frecuencias de la variable; y se establecerán correlaciones entre los resultados obtenidos y las características sociodemográficas, con la prueba de Pearson o la prueba Spearman, teniendo en cuenta los resultados de homogeneidad de la muestra. Los procedimientos de análisis estadístico se realizarán utilizando el paquete estadístico SPSS 21.0.

The goal of this study is to describe the level of development of various forms of executive functioning (planning, organization, categorization, cognitive flexibility, decision-making, reasoning, inhibition, and social cognition) in children Cundinamarca, Colombia. To this end a cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational study will be carried out, whose participants will be children ranging in age from 3 to 6 years, who previously took part in the research project "Social Network of Knowledge for an Equal Start in Life" (2013). The neuropsychological tests to be applied will be sub-tests of verbal comprehension, classification, conceptual drawing, matrices of the WPPSI, the go-no-go test, the Stroop task (children's version; Golden, Freshwater & Golden, 2003) and false-belief tests. The statistical analysis will include calculation of means and medians with their respective standard deviations and interquartile ranges. The frequencies of the factors of interest will be calculated in terms of proportions with their associated 95% confidence intervals. Also they will identify the differences in the group based on the dependent variable of the Student's t test for a single sample or Wilcoxon according to the frequency distribution of the variable; and correlations between the results obtained and sociodemographic characteristics, with the Pearson or Spearman test was established, taking into account the results of sample homogeneity. Statistical analysis procedures were performed using SPSS 21.0.
