Resumen

This article aims to present the contributions of psychosocial counsellors and art therapists on the role of audiovisual production in psychosocial recovery in contexts of armed conflict in Colombia. It reports research results from roundtable discussions around the questions: What would be the most significant way to use audiovisuals in psychosocial recovery? How does the audiovisual process relate to emotional recovery? The approach to these discussions was based on some elements of the historical-cultural field of psychology, making use of the analysis of narratives as the privileged scenario for understanding the ways in which people perceive the world and themselves, understanding that the instruments of culture facilitate an approach to social meanings and the construction of meanings. It is concluded that the participants consider audiovisual production to be an appropriate scenario for strengthening the processes of building social fabric insofar as it enhances the emotional reconstruction of collective and historical memory and can be an instrument for promoting dialogue and reconciliation, the search for justice and the vindication of the rights of those affected by the armed conflict in Colombia. They also emphasized the participation of psychosocial professionals and the victims themselves in these processes, guaranteeing inter- and transdisciplinary work. The novelty of these contributions is that the psychosocial accompaniers, in addition to showing the capacity of the audiovisual process to facilitate accompaniment, offered suggestions so that both the production process and the positioning of the filmmaker facilitate psychosocial recovery.
