Contribuir al conocimiento de la biodiversidad Colombiana mediante la obtención y evaluación de nuevos compuestos naturales y sus derivados con aplicación a nivel industria. Determinar el potencial económico de las especies estudiadas y con base en el conocimiento químico generado establecer su viabilidad en las diferentes áreas de aplicación. Apoyar la formación de comunidad científica nacional mediante la capacitación de estudiantes de posgrado en productos naturales.
